What a regular house clean includes
Every visit covers the whole home, not a rotating list of rooms. As standard:

- Microwave cleaned inside
- Stovetop degreased; range hood front wiped

- Toilet cleaned inside and out, including the base and behind

Anything can be swapped. If the spare room is always skipped, or the dog bowls always get washed, or the inside of the fridge matters more to you than the baseboards — say so once. It gets remembered, because the same person is doing it every time.

What it costs
From $50 per hour, with all cleaning products and equipment included. Nothing extra for products and no call-out fee — and for the further ends of the Valley the drive is built into your quote rather than added on top.
This is a starting rate, not a fixed price. A home that has been looked after takes less time than one that has not, and some houses simply need far more product than others. Your own figure is agreed in writing before anything begins.

How often should you book?
Every two weeks is what most Cowichan Valley households settle on. It keeps a home genuinely clean without paying for work that isn't needed yet.
Weekly is worth it for busy families, homes with dogs or cats that shed, and anyone whose allergies or asthma get worse indoors. Dust and dander do not wait a fortnight.
Monthly works for smaller households and couples who tidy as they go — just expect each visit to run longer, since four weeks of build-up takes real time to shift.
Not sure? Start bi-weekly. It is easy to move either direction after a few visits — the written agreement sets out what was agreed, it does not tie you to a minimum term.
Why one cleaner instead of a crew
Larger cleaning companies rotate staff. You meet somebody new most visits, re-explain which surfaces need care, and the standard shifts depending on who was scheduled that day.
Here, it is always me. That means you know exactly who is in your home, your preferences only need saying once, and there is nobody to pass the blame to if something is not right. It also means my schedule is finite — regular slots in Duncan do fill up, particularly Fridays.

Common questions
Do I need to be home during the clean?
No. Most regular clients are at work and leave a key, lockbox or door code. Some prefer to be home for the first visit and leave a key after that. Both are normal — whichever you are comfortable with.
Do you bring supplies?
Yes — products and equipment are brought with me and included in the rate. If you would rather I use your products — for allergies, pets, or a surface like natural stone or sealed hardwood — leave them out and I will use those instead.
Do you clean homes with pets?
Yes. Pet hair, litter areas and muddy paw traffic are all normal. Tell me about your animals when you book so enough time is allowed, and mention any product that needs avoiding around them.
What if I need to skip a week?
Just let me know as early as you can and we move it. No minimum term, no cancellation fee. A couple of days' notice means the slot can go to somebody else, which I appreciate.
How do I pay?
Interac e-Transfer or cash. Regular clients are invoiced every few weeks rather than after every visit.
What is not included?
Interior windows above reach, carpet shampooing, and post-renovation debris are outside a regular clean. Inside the oven, inside the fridge and interior cupboards belong to a deep clean — though any of them can be added to a regular visit for the extra time it takes.
