Dog waste removal in Duncan, BC

Weekly or bi-weekly yard clean-up for dog owners across the Cowichan Valley. Your lawn stays usable, the waste leaves with me, and you never touch a thing.

The job nobody wants

It is the chore that gets put off longest, and the one that gets worse fastest. A week of rain on Vancouver Island turns a manageable yard into something you avoid crossing — and by then it is a much bigger job.

A regular visit keeps it from ever reaching that point. The yard gets walked systematically, everything is collected and bagged, and the waste is taken away with me rather than left sitting in your bin until collection day.

How it works

1

Pick a schedule

Weekly or every two weeks, on a set day so you know when to expect it.

2

Secure your dogs

Indoors or in another part of the property during the visit. You do not need to be home.

3

Come back to a clean yard

Gates always relatched. Waste bagged and removed from the property.

What it costs

ServicePrice
Weekly visit — 1–2 dogs, typical yard$15–20 per visit
Weekly, billed monthly$50–60 per month
Every two weeks$20–25 per visit
One-time spring or catch-up cleanQuoted on the yard

Three or more dogs, or an acreage-sized property, is quoted after a quick look. Bi-weekly costs slightly more per visit because there is twice as much to collect.

Why it is worth doing properly

  • Your yard becomes usable again — children and guests can cross the lawn without checking every step
  • Lawn health — dog waste left in place burns and yellows grass and encourages moss in our wet climate
  • Hygiene — waste tracked indoors on paws and shoes is a genuine health issue in a household with small children
  • Flies and smell — both drop off sharply once the yard is on a regular schedule
  • It never becomes a big job — which is the real benefit

Also useful for

Strata common areas, rental properties between tenants, dog-friendly businesses, and anyone whose mobility makes bending in a wet yard difficult. Frequently booked alongside regular house cleaning on the same day.

Common questions

How much does dog waste removal cost in Duncan, BC?

$15 to $20 per visit for a typical residential yard with one or two dogs, or about $50 to $60 a month on a weekly schedule. Larger properties and multi-dog households are quoted after a quick look.

How often should a yard be scooped?

Weekly suits most households with one or two dogs. Two dogs or more, or a smaller yard that gets heavy use, is usually better weekly at minimum. Every two weeks works for a single small dog on a large property.

Do I need to be home?

No. As long as the yard is accessible and any dogs are secured indoors or in another area during the visit, you never need to be there. Most clients simply come home to a clean yard.

What happens to the waste?

It is bagged and removed from your property. Nothing is left in your bins unless you specifically ask for that.

Do you do one-time yard clean-ups?

Yes. Spring clean-ups after a winter of build-up are common, as are one-off visits before a party, a barbecue, or a house viewing. Those are quoted based on the yard size and how long it has been.
