Deep cleaning in Duncan, BC

A one-time, top-to-bottom reset. Inside the oven, behind the fridge, inside the cupboards, along every baseboard — all the places a regular clean never gets time to reach.

What makes it a deep clean

A regular clean keeps a home ticking over. A deep clean takes it back to a baseline — the state you would want it in before guests arrive, before a baby comes home, or before you hand keys to a landlord.

Everything in a regular clean is included, plus:

Kitchen

  • Inside the oven, including racks and door glass
  • Inside the fridge and freezer, shelves removed and washed
  • Behind and underneath the fridge and stove where they can be moved
  • Inside every cupboard and drawer, emptied, wiped and dried
  • Range hood filter degreased
  • Backsplash grout scrubbed

Bathrooms

  • Grout scrubbed line by line
  • Limescale removed from taps, shower heads and glass
  • Extractor fan covers washed
  • Behind and beneath the toilet, including the fixing bolts
  • Inside vanity units and medicine cabinets

Throughout the home

  • Every baseboard, washed by hand rather than wiped in passing
  • Door frames, doors and around handles
  • Light fittings, ceiling fans and visible cobwebs
  • Window sills, tracks and interior glass within reach
  • Switch plates and vent covers
  • Under and behind furniture that can be moved safely
  • Interior of closets, floor level

It is slow work, and that is the point. Deep cleaning is done by hand, one section at a time. Nothing here can be rushed without it stopping being a deep clean.

What it costs

From $55–60 per hour, products included. The rate is above the regular $50 because the work is slower, heavier, harder on equipment — and because a genuine deep clean uses a great deal more product. A badly built-up kitchen or bathroom can go through several times what an ordinary clean uses, and those products are expensive. Heavily soiled jobs are quoted above the starting rate, and you are told before the work begins, never after.

HomeTypical timeEstimated total
1 bedroom apartment4–5 hrs$220–300
2 bedroom home5–7 hrs$275–420
3 bedroom home6–9 hrs$330–540
4+ bedroom home8–12 hrs$440–720

Larger jobs are sometimes split across two days so the work stays thorough at the end of the second day, not just the first. You get a firm estimate before anything starts.

When people book one

  • Spring — after a damp Vancouver Island winter with the windows shut
  • Moving in — before your things arrive in a home somebody else lived in
  • After renovation — once the fine dust has finished settling
  • Before hosting — Christmas, a wedding, family visiting from away
  • Starting regular cleaning — a reset first, so every visit afterwards is faster and cheaper

Common questions

How much does a deep clean cost in Duncan, BC?

Deep cleaning is $55 to $60 per hour, above the regular $50 rate because the work is slower and more physical. A three-bedroom home typically takes six to nine hours, so most deep cleans land between $330 and $540.

How long does a deep clean take?

Roughly twice as long as a regular clean. A one-bedroom apartment is usually four to five hours; a three-bedroom house six to nine; a large four-bedroom family home can run to two visits.

What is the difference between a deep clean and a regular clean?

A regular clean maintains a home that is already in good order. A deep clean resets it — inside the oven and fridge, behind and under appliances, inside cupboards, baseboards, door frames, light fittings, window tracks and built-up limescale. Everything a weekly visit does not have time to reach.

When should I book a deep clean?

Common triggers are spring, before or after hosting, when moving into a home somebody else lived in, after renovation dust settles, before a new baby arrives, or as a starting point before regular cleaning begins.

Do I need a deep clean before starting regular cleaning?

Not always, but it helps if the home has not had a thorough clean in a year or more. Starting from a genuine baseline means each regular visit afterwards is quicker, which costs you less over time.
